Trawa is being built by people who actually grow cannabis—not fund it from the sidelines. We’re a family-owned operation based in Central Minnesota, grounded in transparency, trust, and the belief that great cannabis starts with good partnerships.
It all started over fish & chips. Just a casual conversation about cannabis at a local spot turned into something bigger: a fun and exciting vision for what growing could look like when it’s done with intention and a little Midwestern grit.
We’ve been there every step of the way. From testifying at the state legislature on cannabis policy and appropriations to attending events like CannaFest and CannaCon, we’ve been on the journey for 2 years and are excited to bring it to life.
Today, that spark is a full operation with a clear purpose: to grow great product, form real partnerships, and do it all without the smoke and mirrors.
Our Director of Cultivation, Colin Jones, has been researching Cannabis sativa at the University of Minnesota since 2018. That research-backed approach guides our team every day—from our mixed-light cultivation setup to our water practices. We grow in coco coir using dialed-in systems that prioritize consistency, potency, and responsible resource use.
We’re proud to be Minne-grown and family-owned, not venture-funded. Trawa gives 1% of gross profits back to the community and county in which we farm. We believe in building something that benefits everyone.
We punch in, suit up, and do the work. Whether we’re tending the canopy or trimming, our team brings intention to every step of the grow.
